Town Regulations
Laws, town regulations, and zoning codes vary by area so it’s important to ensure your property is protected and that all installations are up to legal standards. It can be confusing to understand the different county, town, and village regulations, or rules within neighborhood associations.
Where you live, the type of fence material and the height of your fence can determine whether or not you need approval or a permit. It’s recommended for the property owner to check with local building departments before installing a fence.
If you have any questions the team at All Island Fence & Railing can assist you during each step of your fence installation. With over 35 years of experience, All Island Fence & Railing is a fully licensed, insured, and bonded fence and railing company. serving Nassau and Suffolk County, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island
Utility Mark-Outs
All Island Fence & Railing uses the New York One Call Center utility mark-out service. This is to protect your home and family. This service requires several days prior to installation to provide these markings.
You will see flags and painted lines in the street and on your property. These are to be left in place until the installation is complete.
You will need to provide us with the location of underground sprinkler systems and any other items you may have installed in the ground. All Island Fence & Railing is not responsible for any damage to these items.
Water and Electricity
As the property owner, you will need to provide access to water and electricity on the day of installation.
